Oga’s Cantina at Disney World

Are you a fan of Star Wars? Do you want to feel like you’re “in the moment?” Well if so- you need to be sure to add a Hollywood Studios park day to your next Disney World trip! Hollywood Studios is home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. When wandering around Batuu, you’ll be immersed in all things Star Wars, including Oga’s Cantina. It’s the perfect stop for drinks, light refreshment, and a great atmosphere!

Oga’s Cantina has limited availability, so advanced reservations are HIGHLY recommended. If you are staying on-site at a Disney resort, you are able to make dining reservations 60 days prior to your trip, for up to 10 days at a time. If you are staying offsite, you can make dining reservations 60 days prior to each day of your trip. Since Oga’s is located inside Hollywood Studios, be sure you have BOTH a park ticket and a park pass reservation for Hollywood Studios. If you miss being able to grab a reservation, you can continue to check back periodically to see if one opens up, occasionally they will have a walk-up waitlist you can join once you’re in the park. Oga’s is typically open throughout the entirety of the park’s hours so you could start your day here, or end it here, leaving with a nearly empty Batuu!

While the atmosphere definitely makes you feel like you are IN a Galactic Cantina, straight out of a Star Wars movie, with low lighting and music played by aliens, you should know how tables work! Oga’s is on the smaller side and is filled with a bar in the center, a FEW tables with seats around the outer walls, and standing tables in the middle. It is not uncommon for you to be placed with other groups when you are seated. When I went with my husband, we were placed with two different groups and ended up having a great time getting to know them while having our drinks! (You don’t typically get to choose which type of seating you get.)

On the menu you’ll find drinks with and without alcohol. Guests under 21 ARE welcome, just be aware that you may be placed at a standing table, which could be a little difficult for the tiniest of guests. While in Oga’s, guests are allowed a two drink maximum. Drinks can not be taken with you, so if you order one in a souvenir mug- they’ll actually bring you a clean, boxed souvenir cup to take with you when leaving. You’re typically given about 45 minutes once seated as well!

Now, for the fun part- check out the menu options!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

We really enjoyed our visit to Oga’s Cantina! I don’t think I would go with my kids quite yet, as they are all 5 years old and younger. The standing tables are truly made for standing at, with no seats to push up to them. Not knowing and not being able to request a sit-down table would make this experience a little harder to enjoy. I did however enjoy going with just my husband. We had a great time with the other guests we were placed with and did it as an “excursion” while we were on Batuu during our Galactic Starcruiser stay! (I’ll share more about Galactic Starcruiser soon!)
