Tusker House Review

Let’s chat!

You’ll find Tusker House in the Harambe Village in the Africa part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It does require reservations, and you can try for reservations 60 days out from the start of your trip. Because it is a character meal, it has the potential to book up fast!

Tusker House is definitely a favorite in the RunDisney_Mama household! With it being a character meal, it’s a must-do for our family when we plan on visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The character interactions have been absolutely amazing every time we’ve dined, pre-covid, during covid, and post covid! One of my fondest memories was when I took both of my girls (2 years and 9 months old) by myself for the first time! Goofy came by and turned my sweet Eloise’s high chair around and slid it to him and then he put Annabelle in his lap while he played with both of them! So many smiles from them both, and my mama heart MELTED. You’ll meet Donald Duck, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy, all dressed in safari attire! Not only do they come by your table, you’ll also see them periodically dance around the restaurant!

The food is wonderful! You’ll have a mix of American and African cuisine. Previously it was served buffet style, but is currently being served “family style,” which we loved! When served family style, they bring large portions to your table and your serve yourself from the bowls/plates. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at Tusker House.
